A CMPP Fundraising Event

The Twilight Runway Challenge is the major Community Matters Partnership Project (CMPP) fundraising event of the year: it is a unique opportunity for all CMPP partners, their family and friends to take part in an amazing, exclusive event! The Twilight helps to raise funds to support all of the CMPP community projects in the year ahead.

In 2019, CMPP launched a new and ambitious 'Business into Schools' programme and we delivered a number of major community investment projects alongside creating an innovative mentoring scheme encouraging the development of young entrepreneurs.  CMPP activities are aimed at raising aspirations in young people by bringing the business world into the local education sphere. CMPP is dedicated to designing and delivering engaging projects which enable employers to help transform the lives and opportunities of our young people.  Without the funds raised by events such as the Twilight Challenge, it would simply not be possible to achieve the outcomes we all hope for, so please sign up to participate in this extraordinary community event.

CMPP would like to thank Blackbushe Airport for their support in hosting, for the first time, this annual Twilight Runway Challenge! The event has raised over £30,000 since it started in 2012 with 60 runners! Please note the airport is non-smoking and non-vaping environment.

What to expect!

The Twilight Runway Challenge is a fun, family event for anyone aged 8 years or older. It takes place on a Saturday evening (once the flights have stopped landing!) along the airstrip. You can enter the 3k or 5k routes or you can complete 10k by completing the 5k circuit twice (if you are planning to walk the course, you will only be able to enter the 3k or 5k as light loss tends to impede walking the 10k).  Run for fun or challenge yourself to complete the event as quickly as you can. Not everyone chooses to run the Runway Challenge: some walk, some cycle, some skateboard, some rollerblade. We even had two unicyles in 2019!

Please note, this is not a professional run: it is a charity event organised by volunteers to raise money for the local community so we do not offer chip timings.

All challengers receive a goody bag including a finishers medal. Expect a family friendly fun evening out to raise money for local projects!

We look forward to seeing you there!
