WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EVENING!
The sun shone, the runway was ready and more than 800 participants joined us for a very special Twilight Runway Challenge.
With even more family members, friends and spectators cheering from the sidelines, Blackbushe Airport was filled with excitement, determination and a wonderful sense of community.
Participants of different ages and abilities took on the 3km, 5km and 10km distances by running, walking, cycling, scooting or using a wheelchair.
Some were aiming for a personal best. Others were completing their first challenge, enjoying the experience with friends or taking part as a family. Most importantly, people came together to support an incredible range of charities and causes that mean something to them.
Thank you to every person who joined us and helped make the 2026 Twilight Runway Challenge such a memorable event.

THE TWILIGHT RUNWAY CHALLENGE IN NUMBERS
One of the most special things about the Twilight Runway Challenge is that there is no single way to take part.
The event welcomed runners, walkers, cyclists, scooters and wheelchair users, with participants choosing the distance and method that worked for them. Families took part together, friends encouraged one another around the course and supporters celebrated every person crossing the finish line.
Whether someone completed 3km, 5km or 10km, every achievement mattered.

SUPPORTING CHARITIES AND CAUSES THAT MATTER
At the heart of the Twilight Runway Challenge were the many charities and causes represented by our participants.
Some joined organised charity teams, while others took part independently for organisations or causes with a personal connection. Our Charity Hub also gave participating organisations an opportunity to meet visitors, share their work and celebrate alongside their supporters.
Because participants raised money directly for their chosen charities, there is no single fundraising platform containing the complete total. We are now gathering information from participants and charities so that we can record and celebrate as much of the event’s impact as possible.

Events like the Twilight Runway Challenge simply could not happen without brilliant volunteers.
From helping with the event set-up, parking and participant registration to welcoming visitors, supporting people around the course and handing out medals at the finish, our volunteers gave their time and energy wherever it was needed. Jo Longmuir is a Personal Trainer who helps people build their fitness, confidence and wellbeing through positive, supportive exercise.
Jo very kindly stepped in at the last minute to lead our event warm-up, bringing fantastic energy and enthusiasm to the start line. She got everyone moving, smiling and ready to take on their challenge, and we are incredibly grateful for her support.
Yateley & District Lions Club is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to supporting people, charities and community projects across Yateley, Blackwater, Eversley and the surrounding areas.

THE TWILIGHT RUNWAY CHALLENGE WILL RETURN
We are already looking ahead to the next Twilight Runway Challenge.
